2011 - 2012 School Year Activities


Schedules for individual Den activities will be determined by each Den.

SCHEDULE AVOIDS DIRECT CONFLICTS WITH ROCHESTER SCHOOL DISTRICT 2011-12 CALENDAR.

Some dates may change as extra-curricular activities dictate, and/or BSA Council schedule’s change.

  • New Dens Meeting September 10th - 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Rochester United Methodist Church


  • Pack Meeting September 19th - 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Rochester United Methodist Church


  • Family Camp Out October 1st (optional camping on Fri Sep 30) Camp CILCA


  • Popcorn Sales Begin October 7th (approximate start date) Den Activity


  • Webelos Woods October 14th - 16th (tentative; 4th and 5th graders) Camp Illinek (Council event)


  • Jamboree-On-The-Air October 15h - 16th (World Event, also via internet) Short-Wave Radio; Camp Illinek


  • Popcorn Orders Due October 22nd Den Activity


  • Pack Meeting October 24th - 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Rochester Park (to stuff scarecrows)


  • New Scout Camp Day November 5th (for first time scouts ) AM or PM Camp Illinek; two sessions, choose one


  • Veteran's Day Parade November 11th (Friday) Downtown Library to Capitol


  • Popcorn Orders Arrive Approximately November 19th Rochester United Methodist Church


  • Popcorn Money Due November 26th Den Activity


  • Pack Meeting November 28th - 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Rochester United Methodist Church


  • Skate Night December 12th - 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Skateland South, Free


  • Pinewood Workshop January 7th - time TBA Location TBA


  • Pinewood Trial Run January 16th - 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Rochester United Methodist Church


  • Pinewood Check In January 20th - 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Rochester United Methodist Church


  • Sibling/Special Races January 20th - 7:00 p.m. Rochester United Methodist Church


  • Pinewood Derby January 21st - 8:00 a.m. to noon Rochester United Methodist Church


  • Scout Sunday February 5th (some denominations: Feb 12) Your Church (check with leadership)


  • Indoor Camp Out February 10th - 6:00 p.m. to Feb 11th 10:00 a.m. Rochester United Methodist Church


  • Blue & Gold Banquet February 25th - 11:30 a.m. to 1:00p.m. Rochester United Methodist Church


  • Scouting for Food Fliers March 3rd - time set by den Areas to be assigned by den request


  • Scouting for Food Pick Up March 10th - time set by den Areas assigned per your den request


  • Science Fair-Pack Mtg March 26th- 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Rochester Middle School Gym


  • Lincoln Pilgrimage April 29th (Sunday) - bus leaves 11:00 a.m. from Rochester Elementary School


  • Family Camp Out May 19th (optional camping on the Fri 18th) Camp Illinek; Cub Scout Graduation


  • Flags at Camp Butler May 28th - Memorial Day morning, 6:45 a.m. Camp Butler Cemetery
