Rochester PACK 40

Cub Scouting and Cub Scout Packs (and Boy Scouting and their Boy Scout Troops ) is open to boys in 1st through 8th Graders (as of their Fall 2009 school year). Rochester Pack 40 Cub Scouts is an outreach of Rochester United Methodist Church, it's charter holder for over 56 years. Cub Scouts itself is open to boys who are in 1st through 5th as of Fall 2009. Pack 40 typically serves boys and their familes who live within or whose child is registered in the Rochester School District; However, there is no residency or specific school membership required in order to be a prt of and participate in Scouting as a part of Pack 40...boys from any other areas and/or attending other schools are welcome to join our Pack. ALL events are for the entire family.

Every Cub Scout Pack and Boy Scout Troop in the United States has it's own registration fee structure. Rochester Cub Scout Pack 40 registration is $29 (for the remainder of calendar year 2009) and there are no Pack "dues". This covers all pack events, including your scout's pinewood derby car, awards, camping fees, rocket day supplies, adult-leader membership fees and pack meals, and more ... your child only needs to acquire his uniform and rank-specific workbook ... no additional fees or dues for any pack events for the remainder of 2009*. Although boys can register at any time during any year to join Cub Scouts, please see our events section for fall dates for helpful official regsitration and information nights, parent orientation hour, and pack meeting and event schedules.

Our Fall 2009 Boy Scout Popcorn sale fundraiser is our only fundraiser. Scouts earn their way toward great Scout oriented prizes, summer camp registrations, and also earn their charter fee payment for 2010. No scout will be turned away for lack of ability to pay a yearly charter fee or ability to afford a unifrom. Scouts are encouraged to learn to "pay-their-way" or "earn-their-way" just as adults must do, but none will be turned away from Scouting.

* Individual Scout recharter fees are likely to be built-in to popcorn fundraising goals each Scout can meet - otherwise, the calendar year recharter fee will be required and is due prior to December 31st, 2009 in order to continue with Scouts for all of 2010.

ANY Pack 40 EVENT SCHEDULE CHANGES BECAUSE OF WEATHER OR OTHERWISE  WILL BE POSTED HERE
NO LATER THAN 1 HOUR PRIOR TO THE REQUESTED  CUB SCOUT ARRIVAL OR SCHEDULED EVENT START TIME.
